BLUE MAN GROUP  Three men with extraterrestrial imaginations carry this long-running comic theater piece with music, audience participation, and ridiculous situations. This show is unlike anything you've seen before. Three performers with bald, blue heads splatter paint and use every imaginable prop in this totally fun and totally unique production. FUERZA BRUTA  This show focuses on movement; it includes a man running full throttle through a series of moving walls, individuals racing to connect from opposite sides of a whirling sail, and performers frolicking and interacting in a watery world suspended just above the audience. GAZILLION BUBBLE SHOW  Take the journey of a lifetime and step into the "unbubblelievable" magical kingdom of Fan Yang's jaw-dropping masterpieces of bubble artistry, this unforgettable extravaganza is not to be missed. He holds (and has broken his own) Guinness World records for the biggest bubble ever blown, the largest bubble wall ever created (a staggering 156 feet!), most bubbles within a bubble, and in May 2006, was able to encapsulate 22 people inside a single soap bubble on live television in Madrid. Over the past two decades, Fan Yang has emerged with a completely new medium, blending art and science to dazzle audiences around the globe. HIP HOP MONOLOGUES: INSIDE THE LIFE & MIND OF JIM JONES  Rapper Jim Jones, having garnered worldwide fame, returns to Harlem to interact with characters from his past: a preacher, his son's mother, a police detective, jealous enemies, even Jim himself as a younger man. After almost getting killed in an impromptu dice game, Jim is counseled by an old school elder on how to endure the stresses of being famous and the great responsibility of teaching the next generation. Later Jim finds himself having to make the decision of his life by either taking his elder's wise advice or returning to his street ways and risk losing it all. 37 Arts Theatre, 450 West 37th St. All seats $40. HOW TO BE A GOOD ITALIAN DAUGHTER (IN SPITE OF MYSELF)  The actress and writer Antoinette LaVecchia stars in this funny and touching look at mothers and daughters, centering on the relationship between an immigrant Italian mother and her Americanized daughter. LOVE, LOSS, AND WHAT I WORE  Like the book it's based on, this collection of vignettes and monologues by Nora and Delia Ephron, uses clothing and accessories and the memories they trigger to tell funny and often poignant stories that all women can relate to. Cast members include Samantha Bee, Rhea Perlman, Lucy Devito, Kristin Chenoweth, Tyne Daly, Katie Finneran, Rosie O'Donnell, Mary Louise Wilson and Rita Wilson. A portion of the production's proceeds will benefit Dress for Success, a charity that provides work clothing and job support for low-income women. MAGIC & ZONE  Rich Marotta is a seasoned stand up comedian and world renowned magician. Twila Zone is Rich's be-speckled pink haired assistant. Twila may look ditzy, but she has some very clever tricks up her sleeve. Somehow she always manages to upstage the hysterical Rich Marotta. MARIE ANTOINETTE: THE COLOR OF FLESH  A fictionalized triangle between Queen Marie Antoinette, her portraitist, the renowned beauty, Elisabeth Louise Vigee-Le Brun and Count Alexis de Ligne, an aristocrat and political radical. Once a target for the ambitions of her social climbing portrait painter and the politically obsessed Count, the vain but vulnerable Queen demonstrates surprising courage and humanity as the years pass, inspiring both to show genuine love for her even while Marie Antoinette's bitter people use her as a masthead for their hatred and discontent. THE MARVELOUS WONDERETTES  The show features a journey back to the 1958 Springfield High School prom where the Wonderettes -- Betty Jean, Cindy Lou, Missy and Suzy -- are four young girls with hopes and dreams as big as their crinoline skirts. Songs include "Lollipop," "Dream Lover," "Stupid Cupid," "Lipstick on Your Collar," "Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me," "It's My Party" and "It's In His Kiss (The Shoop Shoop Song)." MURDERED BY THE MOB  Mingle with mobsters and molls; break bread and heads with Wiseguys and Mafia princesses. Rubbing elbows with goodfellas and ducking bullets over Broadway has never been this much fun. This interactive comedy mystery features a three course sit down dinner, dancing with a professional DJ, and surprises at every turn. You even have the chance to solve the case and win some fabulous prizes. MUSIC ON MACDOUGAL  A music series on Wednesday evenings co-created and coordinated by Sheryl Lee. MY FIRST TIME  The theatrical equivalent of a date-movie!" are just a few of the things critics have called this "diverting evening of first-time tales that is by turns comical, erotic, sentimental, galling, heart-rendering, and even mildly political." In 1998, a decade before blogging began, a website was created that allowed people to anonymously share their own true stories about their First Times. The website became an instant phenomenon as over 40,000 stories poured in from around the globe that were silly, sweet, absurd, funny, heterosexual, homosexual, awkward, shy, sexy and everything in between. NAKED BOYS SINGING  Eight gentlemen display more than their considerable talent in this musical revue. An original score of 16 songs is performed by an attractive cast of "costume-free" men. PLATANOS & COLLARD GREENS AT FLORENCE GOULD HALL  A thought-provoking romantic comedy that tells the story of two college students, Freeman, an African-American man, and Angelita, a Latino woman, who are forced to confront and overcome cultural and racial prejudices, while defending their bond from the biases held by family and friends. THE QUANTUM EYE - MAGIC DECEPTIONS  An amazing evening of intimate magic and mind-reading brought into the 21st century. TONY N' TINA'S WEDDING  In this hilarious interactive comedy, the audience is part of the show.
