Since it was introduced four years ago, the Brooklyn Museum of Art's First Saturday series has become enormously popular, with thousands of visitors attending this free program of art and entertainment each month. All evening, the Museum Cafi offers a wide selection of sandwiches, salads, and beverages, including wine and beer. The Museum is open on the First Saturday of every month until 11:00pm. (All other Saturdays, the Museum closes at 6:00pm.)
Free Tours of Evergreens Cemetery
Sundays at 11am
Set atop high hills with commanding views of New York City to the north and Jamaica Bay and the Atlantic Ocean to the south,
more than half a million people have been interred amid its landscaped grounds in the 150 years since The Evergreens was
incorporated as a non-sectarian cemetery, including painter Frances Guy and entertainer Bill "Bojangles" Robinson.
This free tour will begin at 11am at the front gate of the cemetery, on the corner of Bushwick Avenue and Conway Street,
one block north of the Broadway/East New York

Heart of Brooklyn Trolley
This hour-long ride is a great way to see the sights in and around Prospect Park,
including historic Grand Army Plaza, Brooklyn Public Library, Brooklyn Museum of Art,
Prospect Park Zoo, and Brooklyn Botanic Garden. It operates on Saturdays, Sundays and
holidays, Noon to 6:00PM, throughout the year. Leaves from Prospect Park's Wollman Rink
on the hour and makes stops throughout the Park. A connection to the Brooklyn Children's

STATEN ISLAND FERRY
The ferry operates 24 hours a day every day of the week. Through most of the day
(the only exception being the hours of midnight to 6am), you will not have to wait
more than half an hour for the next departure, and it will be more frequent and crowded
during weekday rush hours. Weekdays and weekends, boats leave and arrive on the half hour.
Among the sights to take in from either side of the vessel, are Governor's Island, the
Statue of Liberty, the Brooklyn Bridge, lower Manhattan skyscrapers, Ellis Island,
and the Verrazano Narrows Bridge connecting Staten Island to Brooklyn. Switch sides
so you can take in all views. And as it pulls in to Manhattan, take a walk up to the
front of the boat and bring your camera. It's a great view you won't want to miss.
